Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 2/28/15
It is with great respect for our great fishery that I report that this past week on Guntersville was just awful; between snow, icy ramps cold water terrible weather and lots of boat traffic that I personally struggled to get to the water as well as catch fish! Sometimes you just have to love what you do a lot in order to remain committed, and I do!
Having said all that we fished many different patterns working areas that we have been catching fish all month of February; we slowly moved jerk baits, worked Tight-Line football jigs along grass lines and pulled missile bait swim baits at many locations and many stops. The weather just moved my fish and made catching tough.
We have to see spring sometime soon, not soon enough for most but when we do we should improve drastically it could be tomorrow or the next day but this too shall pass and there are much better days ahead. The thing you can count on is that these fish are use to spawning in March and their biological clock will kick in regardless of the weather and it will be on, come fish with me no one will treat you better.
