Fishing Report Lake Guntersville 3/12/11
The month of March so far has been great were catching a lot of fish and every day we have an opportunity at some Guntersville hogs, we caught some and missed some but the thrill is always great when that big fish wiggles on the end of your line. It's also the time of year your just liable to hang a big drum, even though it's not what were fishing for it's always a thrill to fight one.
Although we have fished many different types of bait the most successful bait this week has been a Tight-Line Jig in black and blue color with a football head shape. We also caught fish on rattle baits, Punisher Lure Spinner Bait watermelon color, ½ oz. in size and some on crank baits. Our fish catch in numbers is anywhere from 15 to 30 or more a day, and our biggest fish this past week was nearly 12 lbs.
The crowds on the lake on the weekends is unreal, the ramps are packed and the water is crowded so if you can get on the water during the weekday, although it's still crowded it is still better than the weekend. Come fish with me I have days available to fish with you!
