Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 3/2/13
I was only on the water twice this week, and they were just four hour type days. I spent time by myself trying to find some new fish and areas that may be holding fish. I have something like 40 days of fishing with very few breaks coming up so I thought I would try to find some new bites on my own, before my marathon kicks off!
One of the things I did completely different this week was go extremely small in the size of my baits, I had to add weight to the bait to get them to the bottom, but the results were great! I found that with all the tournaments on the lake that the bass were getting beat up especially with A-rigs, but if you downsized many of those same fish would bite again with a small presentation!
Some of the downsizing I did was fishing with a ¼ Spro Rattle Bait, of going to a ¼ oz.Tight-Line jig and or fishing with a 3 inch swim bait rigged on a Punisher swim bait head with a small willow leaf blade attached. The numbers were drastically improved and I managed to catch some bigger fish also.
Come fish with me I have days and guides available to fish with you, nobody will treat you better!
