Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 3/23/13
There is no doubt that the fishing is at its peak right now, with the very few exceptions, like the first day of a cold front, other than that the bass are as active as they will get! Doesn't mean they are jumping in the boat you still have to fish them but it's as good as it is going to get without a doubt.
The patterns are all of the above, the bass are shallow, there is still staging fish and there are still deep fish you just have to be on the water. There is also no bait that won't work if worked properly, we caught fish on Spro rattle baits, Tight-Line jigs, Punisher Lure Spinner Baits and Missile Baits D- Bombs and probably could have fished any bait in my arsenal and caught fish.
With the numbers of big 10 plus pound fish being caught this year I see the lake record of 14.8 in jeopardy of being broke; it's only a matter of time!
