Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 3/30/13
Fishing this past week was truly the tale of two stories, with the early part of the week bringing below freezing temperatures and a struggle to find a bite then the later part of the a little warmer and the big fish were moving about. The big fish moved up some especially in the afternoons and with just a little good luck and being in the right place at the right time proved to be very successful!
The key all week was location as the bass never seemed to be in the same place twice; I was forced to cut up the depths every day until we found some active fish then work that depth for the same pattern at several other locations. The water temperature started out at the beginning of the week around 46 degrees then increased by the end of the week to the mid 50's.
I fished with some great customers this past week, we had a variety of abilities and for some good reason the least talented seemed to catch the best fish! We are still waiting for some consistency where we can not only find some weather the same from one day to another but the bite being equally as good from day to day!
