Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 3/3/12
For the second week in a row I have struggled on Guntersville, the fish are scattered and the big fish are in transition and that makes for some tough fishing; at least it did for me! I believe that the warm water is so early that it has their biological clock are all messed up, the water temperature says spawn but the internal clock is far from ready.
There are some fish up really shallow but not in numbers and certainly not in groups or bunches. The only thing we could do was fish hard and makes tons of casts in many areas with a lot of different baits and hope for the best. I believe that the bass just need a few weeks and both their clock and the water temperature should turn them on!
We fished many different bait's this past week, nothing really caught on fire as we fished crank baits, A-rigs, rattle baits and Tight Line jigs. We caught some fish on all of them but size was an issue and the numbers were far from what we are accustomed too.
It should get better quickly; come fish with me I have days available to fish with you.
