Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 3/9/14
This past week the lake transitioned from tough winter conditions to being on the brink of being on fire! Local Tournaments had several bags of 30 plus pounds to win with more than one bag above 30 lbs. in every tournament. The water temperature moved in the main lake from 48 degrees to some 53 to 55 degree temperatures and the fish followed the warming trend.
Sure numbers are still just so-so, but getting better every day and if the warming trend doesn't get knocked to far backwards with the next cold spell we should see the really good times ahead and it will turn on for sure. Look for the fish to push up on the beds the next full moon and we will be headed to the best time of year.
This past week Missile Bait D-Bombs gets my big fish award for the week, with some very good size and some personal bests for clients. We also did well on Tight-Line jigs football heads with D-Bomb trailers! Fishing is great and the good times are rolling in. Come fish with me fishing is great and all is well on Guntersville. No one will treat you better!
