Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 4/3/16
One thing you learn when you're on the water every day is the pure fact that the lake can change quickly for many reasons; just when you feel like you have a pattern solved from one day it does not always translate to the next. Early in the week I was on a pattern that rewarded me with super results, but by the end of the week it all changed and the fish was not following similar patterns. When this occurs you just go hunting for the pattern that changed and try to find them all over again. This was part of the story for me this past week, along with tons of boats.
Going into the first full week of April if history repeats itself there should be some great similarity to this time frame from years past. We should see plenty of fish bedding and by the end of the week we should also start to find some post spawn fish healing up closer to the deep water.
We stayed pretty much with Tight-Line football jigs, Missile Bait D-Bombs and D-Stroyers, Picasso Shock Blade chatter baits along with some traditional worm fishing. Finding some grass seemed critical and working areas meticulously rewarded us the most over the week.
Come fish with me no one will treat you better, I have licensed USCG guides available to fish with you. We fish with great sponsor baits; Vicious Line, Duckett rods and reels and more.
