Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 4/8/17
The front end of last week started out great we were warming up the water temperature was getting right up there where the bass were moving and adjusting to some nearly 70 degree water temperatures; all was well. The Wednesday storm hit the temperature dropped on Thursday, Friday and Saturday mornings to nearly freezing and the week changed drastically for me.
We were fishing 4 ft. in to stirring up dirt and mud early in the week then changing and moving out to 7 to 10 ft. water from the change of the air temperature. The bigger fish got lock jaw and all we could muster up by the end week was small fish and bites. You had to fish slow our baits of choice were Missile Bait "48" stick baits, Missile Bait D-Bombs and 4 inch swim baits is all we could get bit on.
I believe the next full moon is just a few days away this should move a big wave of spawning fish up and allow the bite to pick back up to a more impressive type results. We should also start to see some post spawn fishing and hopefully this will group some fish up and give us a more aggressive bite as we move toward May. Come fish with me no one will treat you better or work harder to see you have a great time on the water. I have days and guides available to fish with you. We fish with great sponsor baits, Lowrance Electronics, Navionics mapping, Power Pole, T&H Marine and more.
