Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 4/11/09
From post spawn fish to cold nightly temperatures in the 30's and tornado treats made for an up and down week on the water. We are in pattern of constant weather change like I haven't seen in the past several years this has made the fishing different every day. Through it all we have had some good times this past week and struggled a few days also.
The good days produced catches of 20 to 30 bass and the slow days were 10 or so with some big fish just about every day regardless of numbers. The thing that has been odd is that it appeared that the fish wanted a different presentation every day.
One day we caught them many on Mister Twister big worms and lizards another day on Tight-Line Jigs. We even had a day they were hitting a hollow bodied rat, so things were different every day but successful in most cases except for one day.
The grass appears to be a little behind but the fishing should be good for the most part, as we get further into April and May. Someday we will get some consistent warm weather and when we do there will be a drastic change for the better. I have openings all through the month and into May please call and set up your day on the water.
For those who have been inquiring yes my house was totally destroyed in the tornado that hit waterfront cove, the best way to help is for those who have been asking is just fish with me so I have an income!
