Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 4/13/13
We are into the spawn the bass are shallow and instead of going fishing it is time to go catching! It's a unique and productive time of year, just about any bait you fish will catch fish you just need to work the shallow areas of the lake. There is definitely no better time of year; the only way to make it better is to be on the water at first light and have your bait in the water.
Our main baits this week were once again Tight-Line jigs, a variety of soft plastic baits, Assassinator and Secret Weapon buzz baits, and swim baits rigged on a Punisher swim bait head with a small willow leaf blade for flash. I have also been trying a new bait designed by Tim Dages called the Bo-Dean Rigg. It is a 2 headed version of the A-rig balanced perfectly and rigged with swim baits and it has been a tremendous fish catcher. It is a great alternative for the A-rig as it throws more like a spinner bait and you can save some wear and tear on your body!
Fishing has turned to catching and right now it is easy, come fish with me no one will treat you better; I have guides and days available to fish with you!
