Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 4/18/10
The lake has once again produced some great days over the past week, the bigger fish are starting to show back up after the spawn, and the numbers keep producing. It been just an amazing run over the last month, when the weather broke it has been nothing but up-hill and we saw more of the same this past week.
My highlights this past week saw one short afternoon of fishing produce 33 lbs. in my best 5 and that same morning with different fisherman have nearly 30 lbs. in the morning trip. That day we had two fish in the 8 lb range and two in the 7 lb range, plus a bunch of 4 and 5 pounders. Just and amazing day for such a short time period of time on the lake during each outing, on the same day. Coupled with the great fish that day I was on 2 very opposite ends of the lake being up river in the morning and on the lower part that afternoon.
Baits this week have been very similar to other weeks fishing Tight-Line Jigs, Go-2-Baits big worms, Punisher Spinner Baits and some SWL buzz baits.
I wish I could say this great fishing will continue but I must say it has to slow some as the heat from the summer months start to take over.
