Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 4/6/13
The story this week has been big fish, with several bass in the 8 lb. range coming out to play; big smiles, big fish lots of fun! Even better than that the fish are shallow and we are catching them on buzz baits; Assassinator or Secret Weapons buzz baits red colored skirt with gold blades the bass are absolutely eating it. If you like top water fishing the buzz bait bite is as good as it gets; no other time of year offers so many big fish bites than you can get right now by fishing buzz baits.
We worked, grass lines, wood like stump fields and spawning areas and most our bites came in the shallow water. We also caught fish on Tight-Line jigs football head jigs off the first break lines around the grass. We also fished swim baits on Punisher swim bait heads with a small willow leaf blade along flats and road beds.
Fishing is good and getting better, the good times are in front of us, the spinner bait bite is near! Come fish with me it is a great time to be on the water!
