Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 5/12/18
The month of April has come and gone Guntersville lake went out on-fire in April and May came in like a lamb; the fish are in transition and moving and May is proving to be challenging. I have said for years that May is one of the best months of the year because of variety of reasons but this year its proving me wrong. The bass are slow, their moving, changing locations and bites are at a premium; I believe we are 2 weeks behind and we will see typical May results by the middle of next week.
We had to slow back down with soft plastics most of the week fishing Missile bait “48” stick baits, D-Bombs and Twin tale worms. We did get some mixed results on Picasso Spinner baits, Tight-Line football jigs and Tight-Line Swim jigs. The bass are in the 4 to 8 ft. range, but the key is finding grass, “no grass no bass,” simple as that.
Come fish with us we have guides and days available to fish with you no one will treat you better or work harder to see you have a great day on the water. We are dedicated to our customers finding you fish is our passion. We fish with great sponsor products, SPRO, Vicious, Lowrance T&H Marine, Navionics, Duckett and more.
