Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 5/6/17
I can't remember when we had some low 40 degree nights in May before but as they say in North Alabama "if you don't like the weather today stick around it will be different tomorrow." The weather change however changed the fish patterns drastically over the week and you had to adjust to catch them.
Early in the week we were up shallow in 6 ft. or less of water and by the end of the week we were deeper in 12 ft. or more of water. Regardless the bite is good, we are catching fish and the numbers and size have been reasonable and the fun of catching is on! My bite has been pretty much with three baits; Tight-Line Swim jigs in a new color blue gill with Missile Bait shock Wave swim baits, SPRO Baby Little John crank baits that run 9 to 12 ft. and Punisher ¾ oz. spinner baits. I believe we are going to be in the good times until the middle to late June and it should be some of the best post-spawn fishing of the season.
Come fish with me no one will treat you better or work with you to see you have a great time on the water. I have licensed USCG guides available to fish with you. We teach electronics, we fish out of Ranger and other great sponsor boats. It's time to set up your corporate trips for your customers we will help you entertain them and have a great time on the water.
