Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 5/15/10

Numbers were great size was poor, we caught a lot of fish this past week on Guntersville, however finding the big ones was difficult for me. Kind of a strange week on the lake after the Elite group left town, the big fish were beat up and highly pressured and they just did not bite for me.

The good news was the top water bite has finally showed its head and we had a lot of fun fishing Secret Weapon buzz baits over grass. We had plenty of top water bites the first hour or so of the mornings and the last hour of the day.

During the mid part of the day we caught plenty of fish on crank baits along grass edges and on Go-2-Baits big 13 inch worm in the 7 to 8 ft water. Some great times with some great folks from all ends of the US. Fishing is still great and should remain so for a couple more months.
