Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 5/24/14
Fishing this past week reached new heights of success as the fish are stacking up in areas and when you find them it's on! We have fished in spots and stayed in the same area for hours catching fish for hours at a time. The thing of it is the fish seem to have found new paths, new highways for feeding but if you found them it was good and good for most of the day! I personally saw this change coming last year and it has moved into more pattern changes than ever in 2014.
This past week we really had to change some of our presentations working different types of baits in places with different presentations than before. We changed to a Punisher Hail Mary with a 5.0 Gamakatsu hook with a Missile bait twin tail worm and we caught just tons of fish off points and ledges. We also did some of our traditional Tight-Line football head jig with a Missile bait D-Bomb trailer and caught the biggest fish of the week being 6.15lbs; and of for sure still catching fish on SPRO crank baits.
Fishing is great, we are doing some different things but the results are very good, come fish with me I have guides and days available to fish with you. It looks like that we have reached the time were my suggestion is no more than 6 hours on the water, as that seems to be the length of time we are doing the best unless it is overcast and or raining.
