Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville, 5/28/10

The heat had some effect of the fishing this past week, you definitely were forced to fish a little slower and make more precise casts to find the fish. There were also some dead periods over the period of 8 hours with the water temperature reaching 85 degrees.

The good news was we still caught plenty of fish, had several good fish from 4 to 8 lbs. and had plenty of opportunities for my customers to catch bass and plenty of them. Even better than that the top water bite is starting to get strong and with the grass popping out above the water line the rat bite is also here in some areas of the lake.

It is h

owever a tough day physically with air temperatures near 90 and above, being on the water past noon is tough on the body, cover up, wear sun screen and limit your fishing day to early or late and you'll be fine.

Fishing is great, it's time for my short 6 hour day, come fish with me I have days available to fish with you!
