Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 6/2/18
The average current flow from the dam this week was well into the 80,000 CFS pushing the bass to different locations all week long. Current is always good for the bite put pulling this much water forces the fish to move off the ledges and into areas not as strongly affected by the current pull. The reasons are many but the biggest is the bait fish or available food!
Having said that the location change forced us to find new fish everyday and making the easy bite a little more challenging but no worries we found the fish and had some great days on the water. We continue to catch fish on some of my favorite summer time baits, Tight-Line football jigs, swim jigs, Missile bait Stick baits and SPRO Little John crank baits all had great success for me this past week in 10 to 15 ft. of water.
Fishing is great, life on the water is fun and so far, the morning is cool enough to enjoy a good 6 hr. day and more with some overcast skies. Come fish with us I have guides and days available to fish with you; no one will treat you better or work harder to see you have a great day on the water. We fish with great sponsor products, Vicious Line, Lowrance Electronics, Dawson boat Center, T&H marine, Duckett fishing products and more.
