Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 6/30/18
I’ve always believed that the full moon hurt the day time fishing the day before and after the full moon and this past week proved much of the same for me. The bass feed at night during this period and we saw a slow down for that 2-day period of the full moon. Have no fear as the rest of the week was great and expectations going forward haven’t changed.
We have continued using Missile Bait “48” stick baits, D-Bombs and Tight-Line football jigs and swim jigs around the thick grass. Some top water action has also helped the problem has been there is lots of floating grass really making a top water bait hard to work properly around the grass. Fishing is great we have targeted 20 ft. for most of our action and the good times are continuing into the heat of July. It won’t be long before the SPRO frog bite will be strong, keep them on your deck and you will benefit from it!
Come fish with us we have days and guides available to fish with you, no one will treat you better or work harder to see you have a great day on the water. The bad news is the heat but you can beat the heat of the day by getting the early bite and off the water before its uncomfortable. We fish with great sponsor products, Lowrance Electronics, Vicious fishing, T&H Marine, Picasso Lures, Navionics, Power Pole and more.
