Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 6/15/14
Even though the numbers of fish we are catching per day is pretty good, we are hitting a time where there is a lot of down time between bites and the size of the fish is down overall this past week. I believe we are seeing a lot of suspending fish, you have to hunt them every day and your presentation has to be really slow to get them to bite.
As we have most of the year we are still doing our best on deep SPRO crank baits working 15 to 22 FOW off the ledges and creeks. Some days we have had to move from the crank bait to the deep jig or worm and really slow down to catch fish, but by the time the trip was over most trips have been pretty good. Still doing a lot of teaching on my trips with many anglers wanting to learn deep cranking and become better versed on their electronics.
Come fish with me, fishing is good, certainly good enough to enjoy a day on the water, yes there is some down time but that is to be expected during the summer bite.
