As we get less rain and more cool nights the fish will constantly change locations making somedays easier than others. We are definitely in that transition time, we are seeing cooler nights, we general get very little rain and the bass are constantly changing locations as they start their fall movement; this all adds up to tougher fishing for the next few weeks.
This past week echoed the fall transition some good, some not so good but always lots of fun. We have had to really downsize this past week to catch fish working mainly Missile bait “48’ stick baits over grass and along the edges of grass in 10 ft. or less of water. We did have one day where the SPRO frog bite was very good but that bite was gone by 9am and then couldn’t repeat it the next day. With the SPRO frog tournament coming in one month 10/7/17 it’s going to be fun to see all the frog fisherman preparing for the tournament.
It’s really a great time of year to be on the water, the cooler mornings and bright sun make for some really pretty days and fishing just adds to the experience. Come fish with me no one will treat you better or work harder to see you have some great days on the water. It’s also a time of year where the numbers of boats get drastically reduced on the water with hunting season and football games the traffic really slows down making it a lot less congested. We have days and guides available to fish with you. We fish with great sponsor baits Duckett rods reels, Vicious Line, Power Poles, T&H marine products and more.
