Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 7/22/17
I am personally back on the water working myself back into fishing shape and I found that the fishing is still very good and the outlook for the summer to me is also impressive. I believe that we are definitely coming back and those of you that put themselves on the water will reap the benefits of some good summer fishing.
I went right back to my bait selection and 6- to 12 ft. depths that was good for me prior to my time off the water and quickly benefited from it. Punisher spinner baits, Tight-Line swim jigs and Missile bait '48" stick baits caught fish for me both the days I was on the water. We also started looking for the frog bite fishing SPRO frogs periodically in areas that seemed to have visual activity. Although this only lead to a few blow-ups at this point the frog bite is right around the corner.
Don't forget the SPRO frog only tournament is set for 10/7/17 get your entry in now as this is always one the best tournaments on the lake every year. The swag and fun is as good as it gets.
Come fish with me no one will treat you better or work harder to see you have a great time on the water. As I work myself back into the strength I need to take customers out I am booking for my guides but should personally be back on the water in a few weeks with customers.
