Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 7/23/16
With the severe heat, a full moon and more, fishing this week was really pretty good. The day after the full moon was the only time we really struggled with the bass responding pretty good most of the time. There was no doubt though that as the heat of the day got tough so did the fishing. For the most part we caught fish and had some good size and some good numbers; not bad for a late July day!
The big worm bite got really good for me this past week working that big worm is 10 plus ft. of water really produced; we also caught fish early on SPRO frogs, other top water baits and up in the day some on Tight-Line swim jigs with Missile Baits Shock Wave swim baits. We focused on grass edges and scattered grass most of the week.
With August just around the corner, the grass will thicken and the frog bite will pick up tremendously; school will be back shortly there is a good 4 hr. period early where we are catching fish; come fish with us before your kids go back to school. I have licensed USCG guides available to fish with you, one will treat you better. We fish with great sponsor products, Vicious, Picasso Lures, Punisher Lures and more.
