Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 7/30/16
The end of July through August certainly always becomes a challenge on any lake in the south as the heat definitely takes its toll on fishing. Persistence can pay off, if you stay at it, make enough moves until you find some active fish you can have a good day on the water. It's certainly not without challenges as always is the case in the heat of the dog days but it is for sure always fun. It's time to make that last summer trip to the water before your kids have to be back in school, I look forward to hearing from you!
We caught fish fairly shallow this past week as the bass have moved into the grass, not a lot of bites so you have to be on your game when you get your opportunities and not miss them. The SPRO frog bite is beginning, get the SPRO frogs out as there is action in the grass and Lilly-pads, that bite is picking up for sure. I am still on my Tight-Line swim jig bite as I have been most of the year, you have to believe in it but it is there for sure; I am still rigging Missile bait Shock Wave swim baits and catching fish. Lastly there is a variety of worm action from big worms to Missile bait D-Bombs and Missile Craw Father Creature baits. Weight these anywhere from 3/8 to a ½ oz. and fish slowly and they are paying off.
Come fish with me no one will treat you better I have guides and days available to fish with you; we fish with great sponsor products like Picasso Lures, Vicious Line Duckett rods and more. Call me to get your last opportunity for some summer time fishing.
