Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 7/10/11
This past week on Guntersville started out with a lot of activity, we caught plenty of fish and found them in many types of patterns. It ended however with a real tough bite, having to work extremely slow and fish the same spot over and over until you finally got a bite. The good news was the numbers didn't suffer but you had to make a lot of casts to the same spot to get a bite.
I believe the bass are still in transition from the deep ledges moving to the grass and it will take some strong patience to have great days until we see some cooling start as we move to fall. The two patterns that should start to see more and more activity is the flipping bite and the frog bite; both these patterns should produce fish and get better as the summer goes on.
If you like summer time fishing, I have 6 hour trips that have us off the water before noon and gives you an opportunity at top water and flipping without bearing the worst of the summer heat.
