Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 7/14/12
The clouds and rain cooled the water temperature and turned the fish on; we had the best week of the summer putting plenty of fish in the boat every day. Not only was the fishing good for numbers but the size was pretty good also!
The most success we had was on top water it seems that with a little rain and wind that it broke up some of the mats and helped the top water bite. We fished Assassinator buzz baits, frogs and spooks most days and had good success on both.
I expect as we move into the mid and latter part of July that the frog bite will pick up a bunch and we should see the beginning of the fall top water bite shortly. Fishing is good, let's hope we keep a little rain and clouds around it should continue to help the top water bite. Come fish with me I have days available to fish with you!
