Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 7/20/14
There has not been many years that I can recall that the summer fishing is as good as it has been this past week; it has truly been a blessed week on the water. The bass are already doing some feeding up as if it already the fall and we have reaped the benefits. Catching has been easy and from what I can tell it will stay that way going into August.
Sometimes the summer gives us many opportunities to have a very successful year throughout the heat of the summer; with the rain and several days of overcast skies we have had a great time so far this July. The bait I have been working the most is the Tight-Line jig white shad swim jig with Missile Bait Shock Wave swim bait; it has been just deadly this past week and most of the summer. You have to get to the bottom and in 20 ft. of water that takes patience but the results are worth it. Along with that we have also been successful on top water and the SPRO frog bite is getting better every day.
It won't be long now the SPRO fog tournament is coming up on 9/6/14 the payout expected for a winning sack is $20,000, and with only a $100 entry fee that will be quite the accomplishment. Get your entry in today!
Come fish with me I have days and guides available to fish with you, no one will treat you better!
