Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 7/3/10 The lake kept producing some good catches this past week, the only thing missing was the top water bite. We had some strong winds every morning and the top water bite was just not there for me most of the week. The bite was good and we caught them on different baits and had a blast. My 6 hours beat the heat summer trips have been fairly productive averaging 15 to 25 fish a day and putting some good size hogs in the boat just about every day. The bass are responding to a lot of different baits but nothing has been as productive as Tight-Line jigs. Most the good fish are coming on jigs and they are producing in every situation, deep, grass, and muscle beds. We have had a few cooler days and nights and it has moved the bass more into the grass than they have been. I have many days available this summer, fishing is good and there are more good times to come.
