Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 7/7/12
In the heat of the summer one of the ways I try to evaluate the fishing is to ask myself a question at the end of every fishing trip. That being; was it worth it for the cost to a customer to be on the water and this past week the answer has been yes! Every day on the water produced enough activity and bites for a customer to be spending their money, so my over all evaluation of this past week is fishing is good enough to be out there.
We caught fish every day, we had some fair size and the bites were good enough to enjoy 4 to 6 hours on the water. To be out there past about 10am on the water required one to be tougher than me, because the heat was extremely uncomfortable. The good news is, if the weather man is correct the long range forecast says we will cool off to below normal temperatures and should see some rain next week. That would be a welcomed out come in my book.
Most of the days I have been working top water baits early, worms and Tight-Line jigs along the grass edges for the rest of my day on the water; catching some decent fish and having fun!
