Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 12/6/08
Constant weather change made for a changing and challenging week on Guntersville. One day we struggled to get a bite, another was fair with around 15 bass and the last day in the rain we caught fish fairly consistently for 4 hours. Typical winter patterns moving through and the fish changed with the changing weather.
The most consistent bait this week was still on crank baits, but we caught fish on a variety of presentations. Tight-Line Jigs caught the biggest fish of the week however we managed to get bites on Punisher Spinner Baits, jerk baits Mister Twister Comida's and rattle baits.
Most of the week I was above Goose Pond Colony, working ledges, back side creeks and the mouths of creeks. Fishing 7 to 15 feet of water and finding baitfish was the key to the bites, working areas completely with attention to detail and being patient when you got a bite was key.
We are nearing the winter solstice; as we move to the backside of it the days will start to get longer and it never fails the bass fishing always get better.
Come fish with me I have days available to fish with you!
