Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 8/12/17
Rain and wind and water temperatures in the low 80's all add up to some great summertime fishing. We have seen surface temperatures as low as 81 degrees this past week putting the depth below probably in the mid 70's all this speaks to some great summer fishing.
The key depth for us this week has been in the 6 to 12 ft. range as this appears to be the target depth and has been for several weeks. My best bait all week has been the SPRO frog bite, it's already good and the fun with froggin has just begun. With the SPRO frog tournament set for 10/7/17 you can already start to locate those active areas in preparation for the tournament. Don't lay down your spinner bait as my Punisher spinner bait bite especially during these cool windy mornings we have been having are still producing. There is a different fun to the spinner bait as the strikes are strong and aggressive and lately you might just pull in a big crappie or cat fish besides a big bass; but it's all fun.
Come fish with me no one will treat you better or work harder to see you have a great day on the water. We fish hard my team is experienced and care about making sure we teach you something about this great sport and fishery. We fish with great sponsor products, Duckett rods and reels, Picasso Lures, Vicious Line and have some great sponsor products on our boats like T&H marine products and more.
