Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 8/6/16
We are moving deep into the month of August and as we do the dry, hot humid days make the lake tough not only for fishing but the elements for sure. We have caught fish as the day moves on its just limited in bites and action. Sure it's fun being on the water is a great way to have some togetherness and good times with friends or loved ones.
Not much has changed for me this week; the big worm bite is still the choice as the sun moves up the horizon with SPRO frogs and variety of top water being the early day choice. My mid-morning bite is still on Tight-Line swim jigs rigged with Missile bait Shock Wave swim baits working them off the grass edges in 8 to 12 ft. of water.
August will go by quickly as we all have many things that keep us busy this time of year and before you know it we will be seeing some fall type nights cooling the water temperature in the lakes and creating some great action. It's time to schedule your fall fishing trips; we are still filling up the fall schedule and have days and guides available to fish with you.
If you haven't already signed up for the SPRO frog only tournament on 10/8/16 it's time to do so the early bird get the early blast off spots so get your entries now.
