Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 8/10/14
August for me has proven to be much tougher than a month ago, the bass are just not as active and the days so far in this month have been somewhat of a struggle. We are only fishing short 4 hour days and the bite might be picking up a little later in the morning but what I experienced so far has been tougher.
We did a little better early in the week but the later part of this week proved out to be slow. We will be back at it most of next week as I have several trips planned out into August. We are doing several things from working top water with SPRO frogs and Spooks to fishing worms and jigs off the edges. We are still fishing Tight-Line swim jigs with Missile bait Shock wave swim baits having some success on all these different presentations.
The grass is showing in many parts of the lake and the fish have definitely moved under the grass to find the cooler water, it's a fun time of year you have to fish hard but that is what makes it great! Come fish with me no one will treat you better!
