Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 8/13/11
The heat this past week made for some tough days on Guntersville; it seemed you had a short window of opportunity to catch fish every day. The odd thing about it was the bite didn't really occur at the times of the day you might expect; one day the bite was early around first light then it moved to mid day and then it seemed to scatter though out the day.
We fished many different patterns over the last week none of them allowed for you to come back to the same pattern the next day and catch fish. This inconsistency is typical in the heat of the summer and I expect that as we start to see shorter days and cooler nights the bass will group up and start showing signs of the fall bite as we move into September.
We are working grass lines, ledges and top water catching some fish everyday but the bites are slow and the days are typical summertime. Come fish with me I have days available to fish with you!
