Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 8/16/14
This past week had some ups and downs, a couple of the days we struggled for bites and the others proved out to be very successful! The thing that was constant regardless of the number of bites was size; the fish we did catch had some good size and fought with a passion. The other thing was the bass seemed to hit consistently on a couple of baits; the Tight-Line swim jig with a Missile Bait Shock Wave swim bait and the other was a big worm rigged on a heavy weight worked on the bottom. We did fish a few other things from SPRO frogs, and SPRO Fat John 50 square bill crank bait, and caught some fish on them; these fish seemed smaller than the swim bait or worm bite fish.
We were also blessed this past week with some cool unseasonable weather that made being on the water very pleasant and comfortable allowing us to really enjoy the beauty and calmness of being on the lake during what is normally a very hot uncomfortable time of year. The week was just great and enjoyable time for my customers!
There is some great fishing ahead as we are moving to the fall bite, the SPRO frog only tournament is near and good times are nearly upon us! Come fish with me no one will treat you better or work harder to help you enjoy a great day on the water. I have days and guides available to fish with you!
