Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 8/19/12
Writing a fishing report on the day of my birthday seems to take on a special meaning, I decided to look back at the past reports for my birthday or week of and see how it relates to this past week. Well I must say there was mixed results over the past many years, but this birthday week seems to have more positive than the past.
We have been somewhat blessed this August as the water temperature is dropping and the nights and days are cooler than many on my past birthday week. We have had several inches of rain so far and it seems there is more to come. Put that all together with results from this week and the fishing is picking up a little quicker than many of the past.
We had plenty of action this past week with the frog bite becoming much improved over last week, the grass is turning brown in many sections of the lake, it is getting foamy and nasty with sounds of bream sucking insects off the top of the grass. All looks good for the up-coming Spro tournament this weekend. Fishing is getting better the fall fun is just around the corner!
