Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 8/25/13
I believe this past week slowed the bite more than we have seen since the mid of winter; we started to be affected by some strong intense sun especially mid to late morning and the full moon lit the night time sky up like a big light bulb. Combine the two and we started to see some dog days set in for the first time this summer.
During the day the fish were not very active especially past about 9am forcing the big night time light bulb to push them to feed more at night, than anytime so far this summer.
The numbers of fish we caught this week was down, the size was down and the opportunities to put them in the boat was somewhat slower! When you missed a bite there was not many more opportunities to make it up. The closest thing to activity has come on the Spro frog bite this past week and with the Spro frog only tournament coming up 9/7/13; that's a good thing! The blow-ups are there, the big fish are also striking the frog and fun has just begun for the fall top water bite being nearly upon us!
Come fish with me I have days available to fish with you, I still have plenty of fall spots open and I am looking forward to fishing with you!
