Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 8/3/13
We have definitely seen some summer time affects this last week from the heat and intense sun; although we are catching fish it is certainly not as active as it was in June or July! The bite is definitely slower and the mid day bite is limited at best! The presentation that has picked up is the frog bite, fishing a Spro frog over the grass even mid day is getting results. With the frog tournaments near this is great, as there is plenty of money on the line for the frog tournament participants.
With the addition of the frog bite, we are still catching fish on Tight-Line jigs, with Missile Bait trailers and Texas rigged soft plastics from worms to creature baits. We are also seeing an increase in schooling fish, we are approaching them with two basic presentations; the first is running a Spro rattle bait through the schoolers and the other is fishing over the top with top water presentations! My customers are having fun the fishing is still worth your time to get to the water and there are plenty of fish to be caught!
Come fish with me I have guides and days available to fish with you! No one will treat you better!
