Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 9/23/17
We have moved backward some this past week, the daily temperature moved back-up and the advantage we gained a few weeks back from cool temperatures were lost by the increase heat. This is pretty typical of the fall, fronts move in and out, it’s hot one week and cools the next and the bass respond based on temperatures. When we see our first frost we will really see the fall bite become consistent and the fall feeding frenzy will be on.
We spent a lot of time chasing the SPRO frog bite with the tournament just a few weeks away 10/7/17 we have really focused on finding frog fish. We had varied success some days it was on and some we struggled to get that frog bite. I spent a lot of time scanning with my Lowrance Electronics looking for bait outside the edges of small grass patches; it seemed as if I could find bait balls off the edges we got more opportunities at frog bites. We also continued to use the Missile Bait “48” stick bait it seemed to be the right bait for numbers in that 12 ft. of water range giving the numbers a boost on a daily basis.
Come fish with me I have guides and days available to fish with you; we are into the fall your schools are getting ready for their fall breaks what better than to take your children fishing. No one will treat you better or work harder to see you have a great day on the water. We supply all rods reels and tackle all you need is a fishing license and we will have the rest. We fish with great sponsor products, Lowrance Electronics, Vicious Line, Duckett rods and reels, Picasso lures and more.
