Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 9/20/14
After a long hot summer the bass fishing is showing some signs of changing the fall bite is changing for the good, the bites are picking up and the chasing is increasing. It is certainly not close to being the best fishing of the year but improvement is right around the corner. I am also noticing that catching fish on power baits like spinner baits, and square bill crank baits are becoming the norm.
This past week we still worked over grass with proximity to the river channel, in 6 to 10 ft. of water being the best depth to catch fish. The key was once again activity if you found the movement from chasing or schooling fish your fishing improved drastically. I am also seeing some turn to fishing buzz baits or buzz frogs being a productive technique to catching fish.
If your love is fall fishing it time to change line, add some power baits to you rods and start hunting the bass at the mouths of the creeks. Come fish with me know one will treat you better or work harder to see you enjoy your day on the water. I have guides and days available to fish with you!
