Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 9/22/12
Fishing slowed this past week, the high pressure system that came in after last weekend's rain coupled with the high water levels seemed to push the fall fishing backwards. The bites were slow and the fish were small in most cases last week, a big change from the week before.
We spent most the time this past week in the mid part of the lake working grass lines and humps around the mouths of the creeks. We fished many different baits searching for bites. The best producer was small finesse worms; at least it caught fish as most of the bigger profile baits just didn't catch fish. The top water bite was also tougher, every morning we had some thick fog and wet type moist conditions, but it was still tough finding fish on top!
If you were able be on the water in the later part of the afternoon, you could find good numbers of fish schooling off the grass and catch them with Punisher small short arm spinner baits.
