Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 9/22/13
It's been tough September for the fisherman, and the tough times continued this past week! The fish seemed very lethargic all week, there were times it picked up but nothing consistent at all. One evening here, a few hours early there, but some long days struggling for consistent bites and activity.
The baits were all over the map, as one day we found them on crank baits, another on Tight-Line jigs, big worms and even Punisher Spinner baits. Another day they would be buried up in the grass and we found them fishing SPRO frogs, or Flipping 1 1/4 oz. Tight-Line jigs in the 14 ft. water!
September for me over the years has been tough, maybe it is my style of fishing, but it seems to be tough on most the folks I have been communicating with. This past rain and cooler nights should help break up the river channel grass and should show some marked improvement on into October.
Come fish with me I have guides and days available to fish with you!
