Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 9/29/12
I spent most of the past week going thru the break-in on my new Ranger boat/Yamaha motor so the amount of fishing time was a little limited as compared to other weeks. The time I did spend fishing showed some signs of improvement early in the day and late in the day. There appeared to be a lot of schooling fish and activity during the first hour of daylight and the last hour!
The schooling activity allowed us to fish Punisher Spinner baits ½ oz in size with a shad colored skirt off the points and edges of the grass. This produced a lot of bites, the bass hit it hard and made for a bunch of fun; the downside was the bass were mostly less than 3 lbs, with a few exceptions.
As the day moved on we had to really down size to small Mister Twister 4 inch worms in watermelon color. We caught mostly small fish doing this but it was bites and made for some fun. Come fish with me I have days and guides available to fish with you!
