Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 9/7/14
The beginning of the week started out tough, bites were tough to find and the bass didn't seem active at all. As the end of the week neared the fish turned on and the fun had begun! Hopefully it is the start of some great fall fishing; with some cool weather predicted for the end of the week I suspect it might be on!
The feature event on the lake this past week was the SPRO frog only tournament with nearly 300 boats the event was bigger and better than ever! To see the Guntersville Middle School fill up with nearly 600 participants you knew it was just going to be an awesome event. Sponsors like Duckett, Lowrance, and of course SPRO and more made the event the best one yet. Tournament Director Capt. Jim Leary's ideas and promotion of the event has made it second to none. The winning sack of nearly 21 lbs. proved once more how much fun a frog tournament can be.
Most our fish this past week came on Tight-Line swim jigs with Missile Bait Shock Wave swim baits and SPRO frogs. The fall is near and all is well; come fish with me no one will treat you better or work harder to see you enjoy a great day on the water. I have licensed USCG guides available to fish with you. We fish with great sponsor baits like Missile Baits, Lew's reels, Duckett Rods Vicious Line and more.
