Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 9/8/12
This past week has had some ups and downs as most of the late summer so far, when we caught fish the bites would come in small areas you would catch some and then have to hunt again for awhile. It still seems to me that the upper part of the lake from Goose Pond north seems to be a little easier to get a bite.
We did find fish at the mouth of the creeks flipping a big profile trailer on a 1 oz. Tight-Line jig around the clear water within the hydrilla grass. The other presentation that is producing is the Spro frog bite over the open milfoil; I have had an easier time lately with their popper frog in black and gold striped color. We are also fishing Missile bait worms and Mister Twister Comida's around the edges of the grass lines.
There is plenty of good fishing going on around the lake, the fish aren't everywhere, but during an 8 hour day you have plenty of opportunities to catch fish. Sometimes their light and you really have to be on your game to catch them; there are also times where they are killing your bait so some good and bad. Come fish with me I have days available to fish with you!
