Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 2/27/10

The week got better and better day after day on the water. It's cold and the water temperature is not moving upward much but the end of the week had some sunny days and they proved better as the week went on.

Although the big fish bite was a little tougher we caught fish and had some good catches for such cold days. Most of the week I was up above BB Comer Bridge and as always this time of year the upper part of the lake proved to be better for various reasons. The narrow part of the lake gives the bass less area to hide in the cold and as they move to the creeks the bass have a tendency to move in and out from 10 ft. water instead of 30 ft. drops.

Most of my customers caught fish on Punisher Spinner Baits, Tight-Line Jigs and rattle baits, with a few caught on jerk baits. This is fast moving bait time of year and you should be able to find fish on the more aggressive baits.

Come fish with me I have days available to fish with you!
