Todays redfish bite was good to say the least.
The tide was extremly high when we got to the launch but it had receeded compared to the previos two days.
We fish as close to the mangroves as we could today as it seemed the fish were using that as there little highway.
Live sardine's and cut mullet was the ticket today.
We landed about 20 to 25 Reds today in the upper and over slot class.
They seemed to be more keyed in on the dead mullet.
One of the keys to dead sticking bait is to keep it in the same location as long as possible.
Allthough today I had a nice fat red chase down a dead piece of bait I was reeling in.
They are really on the chew.
Snook were more difficult with only two under slot fish coming to the boat.
It seems the extreme high tide has most of them hanging way back in the bushes just out of reach.
We also caught a few trout to round out the day and give us a slam.
