7/25/09 Islamorada-Florida Bay
I was able to get out this week on Thursday to do some fun fishing. My cousin Anthony joined me on Thursday out of Islamorada. We started off our morning with bonefish tailing all around us and having numerous shots. After a few spooked fish Anthony made a good cast and he was off to the races with a nice downtown bonefish. The fish ended up spitting the hook during the fight. Nonetheless, he redeemed himself. We spotted a few permit and the presentation was made, line came tight and off to the races, this time the fish made it to the boat.
We then made the run to the backcountry to look for some redfish. Soon we were on them and Anthony was doubled over again and doing the redfish two step.
Ken and I got out to do some prefishing for the RedGhost Stalk today. We were only able to fish half a day due to really bad storms coming through. The plan was to hit the bones in the morning and then hit the reds when we were done with them. Got to love it when a plan comes together.
