We are still having these colder then average days for early December. The last
two mornings the air temp has been 30 Degrees here at my house. These Florida
Bass are starting to adjust to the colder water temps which have been in the low
50's and high 40's on a few mornings. My clients today Mr and Mrs Woods from
NE met me at the boat ramp at 1 pm.Our original trip was booked for the morning
but I made the suggestion to start later and give the water temps a little time to
warm up.The plan worked out great. We started the trip fishing a small area south
on the river trying to get a big bite but two little fish was all that we could get
to eat a wild shiner. We then made a move to a big shallow mud flat and that was
the right move.I anchored the boat and put two big wild shiners out on a cork set at
18 inches. It was non stop action the next 2 hours. My clients caught some big fish
and lost some big fish but when all said and done 18 fish came over the side of the
boat including a few Sunshine Bass. The artificial bite has been good on the day we
can get the water temps to the high 50's but any colder then that it has been tough
artificial wise. Jan / Feb and March are booking up fast so please make your plans
ASAP to fish the winter spawn. I still have some days open this month for the
Dec special $200.00 off on any two day trips booked. These days must be fished
in Dec 2010 see details on the front page at www.basschallenger.com
